About us

Suaimhneas is place of simple beauty, a place of quiet away from the busy world. On arrival, you are greeted by the friendly wagging tails of our two dogs, Robbie and Curlie, and the aroma of home cooking from the kitchen.

Suaimhneas has emerged through the vision and creative energy of Anne and Mai. Anne has considerable experience in clinical nursing (RGN, RNID) and nurse education. She is a fully qualified complementary therapist, and is accredited by ITEC and VTCT. Mai also has experience in clinical nursing and has been involved in nurse education for some years. (RGN, RM, RNT, RNID) She also has an Hons Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Both Anne and Mai have trained in Spiritual accompaniment.and are both members of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary.

Many visiting facilitators enrich Suaimhneas with their own wisdom and experience by means of the various programmes offered throughout the year.
